For our latest DDH West Coast IPA, we decided to put an artistic masterpiece on label courtesy of none other than Mr. Hop-Fu’s brilliant, 9 year old daughter…she really is a genius, folks! We used the Pink Boots Society hop blend courtesy of Yakima Chief and sprinkled a little more goodness in the way of Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic Incognito, El Dorado and Cashmere for luscious tasting notes of juicy pineapple, perfectly ripe melon, fresh blueberry and red strawberry that will absolutely have your taste buds puuurrringgg! We love how this beer turned out, almost as much as “Ruby Loves Cats”!

Stopped at San Diego Wine & Beer Company on the way home from a work function. Picked up six cans (five IPAs and a pastry stout), including three North Park IPAs. North Park’s website described it as “For our latest DDH West Coast IPA, we decided to put an artistic masterpiece on label courtesy of none other than Mr. Hop-Fu’s brilliant, 9 year old daughter…she really is a genius, folks! Poured a straw to pale-yellow clear color with 6-to-7 fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Decent foggy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled lime, herbal, pine, dish soap, El Dorado, melon, pink lemonade, weed, grass, Mosaic, floral, mixed berry, purple grape and hints of licorice. Smelled a little better out of the can with the addition of grapefruit. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose, maybe a step down. More Cashmere than the nose. In order got lime, herbal, pine, dish soap, bitter grapefruit peel, Cashmere, El Dorado, melon, pink lemonade, weed, grass, Strata (not mentioned), floral, resin, black pepper, licorice, Mosaic and mixed berry. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Was kind of back and forth on a few categories but happy with all it turned out. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
