Introducing our newest Triple Dry Hopped West Coast IPA, "Nearly Departed". Built with a huge dose of Citra Incognito and Strata Hop Hash followed by a ridiculous amount of Freestyle Nelson, Strata, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Citra, and Citra Cryo. Big notes of dank pineapple, juicy blueberry, and bright citrus resonate on every sip. Some might say that West Coast IPA is dead but we are not quite ready for those last rites to be performed just yet.

Snuck over to North Park specifically to have this beer since they were already out of cans. Their website described it as “Introducing our newest Triple Dry Hopped West Coast IPA, "Nearly Departed". Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass. World-class watery-to-foggy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Damn! That smell! Reminded me of OG Alpine, some combination of Nelson and Duet. Got Nelson, Strata and Citra all right away. Specifically gooseberry, pineapple, grapefruit, floral, mixed berry, resin, pine, citrus zest and grass. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but close. Got Nelson, Strata, Citra, dank resiny hop oil, bitter pine, black pepper, pineapple, grapefruit, mixed berry (more gooseberry and blueberry, but some strawberry), citrus zest and dry grass. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just another great beer from North Park. (Overall - 4.50)

Sweet tropical hoppy, bright orange-tangerine citrus, and a mix of Mosaic-dank and Nelson-dank nose on this one! Great aromatics here! Taste follows with a very clean and balanced, piney and hoppy-dank bitter finish. As it warms, those piney-dank bitter vibes become more pronounced...this plays very well with the somewhat crisp finish. Great easy-drinking new school westie!
