Collaboration with Alvarado Street and Humble Sea
Sometimes, no all the time, when we are hanging with those Kooks from Humble Sea Brewery and our Bros from Alvarado Street Brewing, the super awesome bartender asks us "You want an IPA" and we all say in unison "Nah...We'll Take The Lager". So on a warm, breezy day in sunny San Diego our latest California Pilsner hopped with Zuper Saazer, Motueka, Nectaron, Cashmere and Cashmere Cryo was born. Lovely notes of pink grapefruit, red berries, lemon grass and citrusy orange dance along your palate followed by a moderate bitterness, and crisp, clean finish. You know when that hotline blings it can only mean one thing...

Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $18.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: May 28, 2022; Received May 29, 2022
Consumed: June 4, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Alvarado Street and Humble Sea; Canned on May 24, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Kevin picked up a four-pack of this and I got one. Was really looking forward to it as it was a hoppy pilsner collab with Alvarado Street and Humble Sea. As of June 4, 2022, that’s a collab between my No. 2 brewery (Alvarado Street - 4.236), No. 5 (North Park - 4.214) and No. 6 (Humble Sea - 4.214). North Park’s website called it “Sometimes, no all the time, when we are hanging with those Kooks from Humble Sea Brewery and our Bros from Alvarado Street Brewing, the super awesome bartender asks us "You want an IPA" and we all say in unison "Nah...We'll Take The Lager". Poured a medium yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of white frothy head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass, looking like a snow globe. Decent spotty to foggy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled grapefruit, mixed berry, sugary peach, Nectaron, Motueka, dish soap, pine lemonade, orange citrus, bubblegum and pilsner malt. Better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Nothing great (like Party Cup), but still really good. Got grapefruit, pink lemonade, mixed berry, sugary peach, Nectaron, Motueka, dish soap, orange citrus, bubblegum, lemon zest, lime, mentioned Cashmere, pear, light banana, dry grass and earthy pilsner malt. Grew on me each sip. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Was back and forth on this one but it grew on me as it went down. (Overall - 4.25)

Sweet lemony citrus, hint of bready-biscuity malts, and hint of old-school hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a yummy, honey-bread malty, and balanced hoppy bitter finish. This is so clean...just a delicious hoppy pils! Great collab!
