Snuck over to North Park to meet Dave Harkey for some beers and we ended up splitting four 4-packs. North Park’s website called it “We’re turning 6! To commemorate the momentous occasion, we’ve brewed up this absolute banger of a Triple Dry-Hopped West Coast TIPA. With notes of ripe strawberry, blackberry, and watermelon, this beer has a delightfully dry finish to stick the landing. Clocking in at a whopping 10%, this beer was thoughtfully brewed with all Weyerman malt and was loaded with Citra Cryo, Mosaic Cryo, Strata, Citra, Mosaic, and YCH Trial 303 cryo pellets (which include a dash of Phantasm). We think it’s certainly worthy of a celebration and we’d bet that you’ll think so too.”

Poured a medium yellow clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white frothy head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass in the middle with slower ones along the sides of the glass. Very good lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled big Mosaic, Strata and Citra in order for the mentioned hops, all noticeable. Also strawberry, raspberry, passion fruit, red grapefruit, guava, mango, watermelon (usually associated with El Dorado), rose blossom, floral, dank pine and blackberry. Just as good from the can with similar characteristics. (Smell - 4.25)

First thing I thought on the taste was how smooth it was for 10 pct. ABV. In order got Mosaic, Citra, Strata, strawberry, raspberry, black licorice, dank pine, mango, red grapefruit, guava, watermelon, rose blossom, floral, blackberry, earthy pilsner malt and lingering black peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)

Such a great beer. Just an excellent representation of an American Triple / Imperial IPA. (Overall - 4.50)

Sweet tropical hoppy, orange citrus, and piney-dank/mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a well-balanced, hoppy and piney-citrus bitter finish. There is a nice, piney bitter kick on the backend that lingers a bit. This drinks like a double when cold...with the balance and the big ABV hidden. As it warms, though, it takes on an almost old-school westie vibe with the piney IBUs kicking it up a notch. This is good stuff!
