Double is good but Triple is better so without further ado, we proudly present to you for the first time "TDH Hop-Fu!-Gold Edition" Triple Dry Hopped West Coast India Pale Ale hopped with a ridiculous amount of Chinook, Strata, Strata CGX, Amarillo, Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra Incognito, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo and Simcoe. Sticky, dank, crisp and clean with a magnificently dry finish, but wait there's more...mouth watering tasting notes of grape Jolly Ranchers, strawberry Gushers, zesty lemon-lime, mega sinensis orange and delightful piney resin give a not so subtle chop to your mouth hole. Prepare for battle and to be entertained because "Hop-Fu" level expert is on full display.

Glass: Melvin 14-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $22.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Aug. 31, 2022
Consumed: Sept. 9, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 23, 2022; Split a 4-pack with Dave H.
Snuck over to North Park to meet Dave Harkey for some beers and we ended up splitting four 4-packs. Had a glass of this first and gave it a 4.25 on Untappd, writing “Reminded me of OG Duet. Smell was fantastic. Probably a 4.50. Excellent at least.” Untappd description was “Double is good but Triple is better so without further ado, we proudly present to you for the first time "TDH Hop-Fu!-Gold Edition" Triple Dry Hopped West Coast India Pale Ale hopped with a ridiculous amount of Chinook, Strata, Strata CGX, Amarillo, Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra Incognito, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo and Simcoe. Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of frothy of-white head. Could see a few bubbles coming up. Outstanding spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled really good, but not quite as good as when I had it last week. Got Citra, Simcoe, Strata and Chinook out of the mentioned. Also pine, resin, black pepper, onion, strawberry, mango, purple grape, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, wood and floral. Mosaic came in toward the end and really the Amarillo with the orange/tangerine notes. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t as good as the nose and maybe not quite as good as I had it before but still solid. In order to Simcoe, pine, resin, dank weed, black pepper, onion, garlic, cat piss, bitter aspirin, Chinook, wood, Strata, strawberry, mango, purple grape, Citra, grapefruit peel, tangerine, orange, floral and even some of the mentioned Mosaic and Amarillo. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Bitter, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Another banger from North Park. Excellent. (Overall - 4.25)

Had initially on tap at North Park Bankers Hill location, then single can from Bottlecraft Oceanside. Hop-Fu (DDH) is such a great beer, I am not certain an extra dry hop adds a whole lot...
Pours a vibrantly bright clear golden colour with a finger or less of fine bubbly white head.
Aroma hits with piney resinous hops, tropical fruit - mango especially as warms - ripe citrus and a spicy herbal dankness.
Taste has a bit of malty sweetness to go with the sweet tropical fruit, pine resin, and ripe citrus but with a really nice backend spicy and herbal bitter kick.
Crisp medium full mouthfeel, brisk carbonation with lasting bittersweetness. Just excellent.

From the can... picked up at the Function taproom in PDX the other day.
This is very similar to the regular Hop fu, but with a tad bit more flavor intensity and hoppy goodness/bitterness. An excellent beer for sure, but really not appreciably different or better than the regular Hop fu. Even so, this is still a rich, dank, resinous IPA from the talented brewers at North Park. If you see it, this is obviously a beer that one should never hesitate to purchase. Another outstanding effort from North Park brewing.

Sweet tropical hoppy, lemony-orange citrus, and piney mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a wonderful new-school/old-school blend of a trop-hoppy and piney bitter swallow. This drinks so smooth and clean...and allows for the TDH vibes to let you know wh is in charge. An enjoyable, easy-drinking example of what a west coast should be. Outstanding!
