Boasting a beautiful golden copper hue and a rich toasty malt profile, our traditional German style Festbier is deliciously true to style. A festively zesty noble hop profile of Hallertauer Mittelfruh and Tettnang complements the underlying malts and delicate clean, crispiness. Drinkability factor is off the charts as this one is designed to be crushed liter after liter while wearing your favorite lederhosen or dirndl

Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Sept. 9, 2022
Consumed: Sept. 27, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Sept. 5, 2022
Snuck over to Windmill Farms to pick up some Aurora Hoppyalis and The Lightest One, and a few others single cans. Had this once before going in giving a taster a 4.00 on Oct. 11, 2019 and writing, “Probably in 4.10-4.15 range. Outstanding at least.” Bine & Vine’s website called it “Boasting a beautiful golden copper hue and a rich toasty malt profile, our traditional German style Festbier is deliciously true to style. Poured a clear medium amber color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy head. Could see a few fast-moving bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. Decent spotty lacing. Decent watery retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled caramel, toffee, biscuit, floral, sage, lavender, perfume, hints of allspice and plum. Smelled just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted even better than the nose. In order got caramel, toffee, plum, biscuit, floral, lavender, sage, perfume, hints of allspice and some lightly toasted malts. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn. Even better out of the can from the last time three years before. (Overall - 4.25)
