Had this with two other hazy IPAs that sold out online. Only real description was a barrel-aged stout in Weller barrels.
Poured a pitch-black color with just a fizzy layer of khaki tan head when I got it. No noticeable bubbles could be seen. Good foggy lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled smooth bourbon, oak, milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, fudge, plum, grape, raisin, date, cocoa, maple syrup, brown sugar, caramel and toffee. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted better than the nose. Damn. This was good. In order got smooth bourbon barrel, leathery oak, plum, purple grape, raisin, date, milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, fudge, maple syrup, brown sugar, crème brûlée, caramel and toffee. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Sticky texture. Soft carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
This was really good. So glad I saw this on tap. (Overall - 4.50)
