The paparazzi have been furiously trying to get a picture of our latest release but we kept him a secret so we could be the first to introduce the world to the third member of the "hoppy" family. So without further ado, we present "Hoppy Jr." West Coast Pale with Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Nelson Sauvin and Strata. The kiddo has not quite hit his growth spurt but don't let that fool you because he is bringing an insanely crushable brew to the family BBQ that is packed with passion fruit, strawberry, orange and blueberry tasting notes. Much like his father, junior prefers to be enjoyed in the outdoors, with copious amounts of sun and always with friends! Once again, if you could, please join us in welcoming the third member to the family.

Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (fire) glass
Price: $18.00 for a 4-pack
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: April 29, 2022
Consumed: April 29, 2022
Misc.: Canned on April 5, 2022; Split (2/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (1/4)
Grabbed a 4-pack of this on a recent trip to North Park Beer Co. Had a glass of it once (April 5), giving it a 4.25 on Untappd and writing “This is great.” North Park’s website called it “The paparazzi have been furiously trying to get a picture of our latest release but we kept him a secret so we could be the first to introduce the world to the third member of the "hoppy" family. Poured a clear medium yellow color with two fingers of frothy-to-fizzy off-white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass at different speeds. Outstanding watery-to-foggy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
The Mosaic jumped out on the nose. Also dank resin, pine, blueberry, strawberry, mango, Strata, peach, passion fruit, tangerine, orange and light Nelson. Not as good from the can, but definitely earthier notes. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order big Mosaic, dank resin, bitter pine, blueberry, strawberry, mango, Strata, peach, passion fruit, aspirin, tangerine, orange, light Nelson and lingering black pepper. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an awesome West Coast Pale Ale. Need to get some more of this. (Overall - 4.25)
