Kevin picked up a 4-pack of this for Sonny and I. Was looking forward to it or course because it was not only a North Park hazy IPA, but a North Park hazy TIPA. North Park’s website called it a “Triple Dry Hopped Triple India Pale Ale with Azacca Cryo, Azacca, Eclipse, and Vic Secret.” May have been first time having Eclipse, which online was described as sweet fruit, fresh pine, and zesty citrus.
Poured a light golden hazy color with three fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Azacca, lime, pine, Vic Secret, vegetable, Eclipse (after looking at hop profile), melon and grapefruit peel. Plenty of floral from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted much better than the nose. It was smooth, too, for 10 pct. ABV. In order got Azacca, lime, pine, Vic Secret, melon, vegetable, grapefruit peel and the mentioned Eclipse (looking at hop profile, I think first time having it). (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Another pretty damn good hazy TIPA from North Park. Not in my top 10, but it got the job done. (Overall - 4.25)
