We loaded this kettle sour with over 50 glorious pounds of delicious Pink Guava per barrel! The result is a sweet-tart experience with a massive expression of the goodness that is pink guava. A hefty dose of Mosaic hops in the whirlpool adds subtle berry notes complimentary to the delightful tropical fruit flavors and bright acidity.

Glass: Monks House of Ale 12-oz. tulip
Price: $6.50
From: North Park Beer Company in North Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received July 17, 2022
Consumed: Aug. 12, 2022
Misc.: Canned on July 12, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Kevin picked up a 4-pack of this for Sonny and I. North Park description was “We loaded this kettle sour with over 50 glorious pounds of delicious Pink Guava per barrel! Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden murky color with two fingers of off-white frothy-to-fizzy head, which quickly dissipated. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled guava, mango, pink lemonade, Mosaic, tropical fruit iced tea, fruit punch and mixed berry. Not as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got guava, mango, pink lemonade, Mosaic, fruit punch, mixed berry, tropical fruit iced tea, floral and perfume. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Really liked this one. Retroactively looking back, I have this third out of seven on the “cito” variants I’ve had (at 4.22, only trailing Tikicito (4.38) and Citracito (4.23)). (Overall - 4.25)
