A surprisingly flavorful saison; but also a bit of a punch bowl.
But Had it with an empanada for lunch at a table overlooking the Burrard Inlet towards Vancouver. Such a view would make many beers taste good; possibly including this because the saison style is hard to achieve... particularly since even a borrowed yeast must stay cultivated consistently.
Riot's Saison Looks pretty inviting, a full foam. Smells are the fruit bowl; but Tastes are moderated more and balanced. Sits in the mouth fine.
I went on Riot's website and must confess their artwork is a bit too radical for my tastes. But I'm open-minded and they are having fun doing good stuff, so they get a healthy OA hug.
