A: Pours a deep brown/mahogany color with a fingers worth of head that fades down to a thin ring

S: Lots of oak and cherry up front along with a generalized dark fruit character. A bit of toast and dark chocolate in there as well. Super complex

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the oak, cherry, and dark fruit and picks up more and more complexity as it opens up. Toast, dark chocolate, and molasses all present. Not super tart, but definitely tart. Finishes with lingering oak, dark fruit, and toast

M: Medium bodied with moderate, lively carbonation

O: A super complex sour brown that is on the easier side to drink (in terms of sours). Definitely worth tracking down if you can. Looking forward to future releases!

375 ml. bottle.
Bottled 13 July 2018.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a light pinkish tan head over a dark cherry brown body with some lacing. Nose of dark cherry and oak foremost, with dark malts wafting in and out, and a bit of chocolate trying to hide in the depths. Taste mirrors nose very nicely with a tannin-like, near mouth-puckering finish. Very nice mouthfeel and overall, damn, what a nice sour beer. Something I always wished their Petit Mutant would mutate into.
Wish granted!
Cheers to John K., his vision, and his crew!
