355 mL can from the LCBO, courtesy of their radler mix pack; dated May 9 2021 and served slightly chilled.
Turbid golden-apricot in hue, equipped with more than an inch of foamy, soapy white head that falls apart within a minute or two. A thin collar remains, along with a few specks of far flung lace - looks ok, and the aroma is more or less what you'd expect. Tons of pink grapefruit, some lemon and lime peel spiciness, with subtle hints of orange and apple juice sweetness.
It's juicy, but also a little too sweet for a citrus radler. Apple juice, orange and grainy wheat malt sweetness at first, followed by grapefruit and hints of lemon zest and lime juice on the back end; lime peel and grapefruit linger into a mildly sweet aftertaste. Light-ish in body, with moderately aggressive carbonation that feels frothy and prickly on the palate; the texture is fluffy and a little crisp; fairly refreshing to gulp back. I finished my glass quickly enough, and wouldn't have minded another.
Final Grade: 3.58, a B grade. Grapefruit Radler isn't exactly the same product as their original Radler, but it's clearly built upon that foundation, and the differences are not immediately noticeable - one thing I'll say is that this does have a more appropriate, refreshing and crisp mouthfeel than the original (perhaps related to the switch from locust bean to carob bean). Despite being an upgrade, it still fails to deliver everything I'm looking for from a grapefruit radler - namely, it leans too sweet, and could use a bit more of a citrusy kick, with some of that bitter/astringent-type flavour that I associate with grapefruit. Ace Hill's Grapefruit is worth a try if you enjoy radlers, but I'd take Stiegl's over this one in a heartbeat.

Hazy rosy gold, no real head, no lace. Gently sweet, grapefruity nose. Appetizing. Fruity subtle grapefruit to taste. Gently sweet and spritzy. Overall, gently pleasant to drink.
