Pours a bright straw yellow with lots of visible carbonation and an active pillowy white head that leaves nice lacing in it's wake.
Smell pops with peach and apricot along with a little yeasty must. Very nice
Taste has a tart pear skin and lactic acid flavor leading the way. Followed by a nice light floral hop character. An oddly pleasant grainy/barn like/mineral 'grittiness' comes through as well, it's not a texture it just tastes granular in some way, but it's working for me. The finish is nicely crisp with just a hint of brett-y funk.
Mouth feel is sharply fizzy with a crisp dry effect. Easy drinking that begs you to take another sip
Overall this is one of the better examples of a saison i've ever had. Really wonderful complex flavor that doesn't get muddled up and finishes super clean. Great balance of fruity and tart and floral and musty. would definitely drink again.
