this is a one-trick pony, but it does its one trick very well. the earl grey complements the hops nicely - very floral, with that bergamot citrus flavor melding with the beer. easily quaffed.

Almost orange in color. Nice head. Good lacing.

Smells and tastes like what it is: a good ESB with Earl Grey tea. I like tea, so I thought it was wonderful. In my judgement, even if someone doesn't like tea, he/she might still really enjoy this beer. The tea is t overpowering. Rather it's just right. Just enough to make it interesting. Very interesting, in fact. It is a very smooth drinking beer with a medium body. Crisp.

So, not having read the label, I scensed a spice character to this beer. But, I really couldn't place it. After reading the can, however, I cannot unsmell the earl grey tea. It is omnipresent. The beer is dry, flavorful, and has a tea like taste as well. Mediumi n body and very interesting.

16oz can. Poured out a clear copper color with a pillowy, white, one-finger head. It smelled of pine, citrus and malt. It tasted spicy and hoppy. Also a good sweet maltiness flavor.

From a can into a Spieglau IPA glass
a: pours an apricot-copper, with a big 2 finger off-white head that leaves great lacing
s: interesting mix of crackery malt, some citrusy-orange, and the EG tea is definitely in there too, harmonizing with the fruit.
t: follows the nose, though I get more leafy flowery herbal notes that bring out the tea...though it still ends with some bittersweet hoppiness.
m: medium carbonation (might be a little higher than necessary), a little slight in the body, some nice bitterness and dryness at the end.

very interesting and enjoyable. Would love to try it on cask.

Medium intensity on the nose with a subtle, but noticeable, hint of tea though dominated by hops. In the mouth it has a nice medium bodied mouth-feel with a definite tea component which is joined by tropical fruitiness - mango.
