Pours a hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells slightly of orange and lemon with a wheat sharpness. However, it all seems somewhat muted. Tastes of orange, clove, and floral hops with a lingering orange taste afterwards. Fairly sweet. Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and medium bodied, slightly sticky on the finish. Overall, a decent witbier and it fits well in the summer pack from Summit.

White head with lace. Slightly hazed burnt golden orange.
Lemon zest, wheat, orange, spices, cloves, coriander. Typical wit beer, but really well done. This is nice and drinkable with a lot of flavors. No one flavor dominating.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Clear yellow, good head.
Smell: Clove, yeasty.
Taste: Bready, sweet, a little clove. After additional drinks, tends to lean too much to the sweet side, not balanced enough.
Overall: Another can from the boundary waters pack, it's a decent witbier but goes too far to the sweet side. A little more yeast spiciness would have been nice.

This review was actually done in early May. Just getting around to posting it. I'm not rating this to style, since I don't know enough about the style to do that; this is just a review of the beer as a stand-alone summer beer.
Pleasant, if somehwat faint, aroma of citrus, spices, and yeast. Golden-yellow, hazy, rising bubbles, with a tall slightly off-white thick head, slowly receding leaving layered lacing. A very nice looking beer. Feel is thicker than I was expecting, smooth. Mild slightly citrusy opening, with moderate bittering in the middle and finish. Coriander is present, but subtle. Refreshing lemon-tinged finish. A good summer beer.

fairly hoppy for a wit, although its not at all bitter. a well made beer, something new from these guys i think, and a little something different in the style, i enjoyed this quite well, although it will be best when the weather really turns to summer! lots of raw white wheat flavor in this beer, dry and cereally, not as fluffy as it can be in a hefe type, but i like its lighter nature in a beer designed for summer, and the flavor of the malt is there, very fresh. the hops have a citrus note, orange or tangerine in the aroma, more mellow in the taste, clean in the finish too, with just a little bit of the fruity yeast lingering. the yeast is quite forward in its traditional belgian esters and such, but its unique in that its not gummy or sweet, and there is a slight apple and peach note to it. excellent carbonation, this is an easy down beer that works well right from the can, refreshing and zippy, full of flavor. summit somehow continues to fly under the radar in a lot of respects, but i have never had a bad beer from them. this should be a hit this summer.

The appearance is as I'd expect it to be; Shock-white head atop a hazy, golden orange.
Nose is spicy, bright and expressive. There's a very good balance of the wheat character to the balance of the style (witbier yeast character, blend of spices and assertive use of hop varietal.) Nothing off-style, although the hops may be over-bitter for some? But so far so good if you ask me!
Bright, sweetish malty with an immediate undercurrent of (orange peel) citrus-tang, and some sharp/bitter hops punctuating the sweetness -- sharpness of the hops is more subtle at first, but lingers . . .
Also lingering is the spice blend, and it is pretty traditional for the style (some cardamom, maybe, but more grains of paradise and citrus peel) -- its much more easy-drinking than their last go-round with the style (Summit Scandia Ale.) Maybe some oats in here?
GREAT smooth mouthfeel. A lighter beer both in body and in alcohol content (4.8%), I'd say this one is hitting a certain sweet spot for me. Reasonably approachable for the style, too -- not too sweet, not too spicy, not too bitter or assertive.
This is easily above average for the style, and maybe even better than that.

This beer pours a cloudy yellow color. The head is massive, and recedes slowly leaving great lacing. The aroma is zesty with some light coriander and orange, and hint of cardamom. The taste is similar. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, this is a nice witbier. I like it much better than their retired Scandia.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Summit pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy yellowish orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.
Smell: A grainy, spicy, and fruity Wit aroma with a scent of wheat and dried fruit. Wheat with a scent of grains and cracker with yeast. Spice hints of coriander and pepper. Dried fruit hints of banana along with slight citrus hints of orange and lemon zest. Also some hints of bubblegum and grassy hops. A really solid aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a grainy, spicy, and fruity Wit style taste with notes of wheat and dried fruit. Wheat with notes of grains, cracker, and biscuit with some yeast. Spice notes of pepper and coriander. Dried fruit notes of banana along with some citrus notes of orange and lemon. Sweet notes of bubblegum. Also some light earthy hops. A pretty nice taste.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and smooth.
Overall: A very solid take on a Witbier. Nice blend of wheat, spice, and fruit notes.

Aroma of banana, clove, orange, lemon and coriander. Taste is driven by wheat, banana, and citrus, with a slightly sour finish that includes clove, coriander and pepper notes. Light body that is surprisingly creamy and refreshing at the same time. I did not expect this to be so good; the best new Witbier I have had in years.
