Amazing body, but this beer has an unpleasant medicinal aftertaste on the cherry side. Mostly bitter and sour flavor, the richness I expect is there but toned down greatly.

Can. Off white head. Lace left. Burnt golden orange.

A bit malty and bready. Touch of caramel. Maybe the can is a bit old (EB date is over a month away though)? Pine, floral hops, and resin with a bit of grapefruit citrus. A little boozy. Definitely a midwest ipa.

This is a pretty top notch IPA. Did not expect this from Summit which had always been a middle of the road brewery. If I didn't know it was summit I would have guessed lagunitas. That's quite the compliment.

i really like this one. i do. i think it would get lost in the world of ipa's, but it was tasty enough.

lots of fruit up front with just a touch of pine and bitter at the end, but not overwhelming. mouth is soft and just a touch dry at the end. not boozy or hot.

L-Peach colored..light white head

S-Getting a lot of earthy notes...leather...ganja...caramel biscuit malt impression..some nice stone fruit notes as well.

T-Interesting, different than most....earthy, ganja....stone fruits...a little hint of caramel. Bong resin...tobacco....leafy...

F-High side of medium bodied..A late and somewhat surprising bite of drying hops on the finish that really linger...

O-Wow...one of the more unique DIPA's I've had in a long time. Very enjoyable. Would buy again but not one I would overindulge in.

Loaded with hop aromas and flavors. A bit more malt presence and sweetness than a West Coast Imperial IPA would have that I appreciate. Flavors of tropical fruit and a pleasant earthy finish. Remarkable mouthfeel. Soft and creamy texture that is highly unusual for a big IPA. That really allows the flavors to develop on the palate.

Aroma is citrus/fruit/candy and hops. The flavor is citrus, tropical fruit, fruit, malts and a mix of hops/hop resin and creeping alcohol in the finish.

Excellent aroma of tropical and other fruits. I'm getting peach for sure, with a little citrus, and a sweetness to the aroma. Clear amber color with a thick, creamy slightly off-white head. The head hangs around for awhile, and leaves nice-looking lacing as it recedes. Initial taste is a surprising (and wonderful) mix of fruit flavors, piney bitterness, and malty sweetness. Gorgeous. Slightly bitter aftertaste and a nice clean and dry finish. The brewer rates this beer at 105 IBU, but that is very deceiving WRT how it tastes. Extremely well-balanced and far, far from a bitter bomb. Excellent DIPA, and clearly the class of the IPA sampler. Be careful with this beer... it is so easy drinking the 8.5% ABV can sneak up on you!

This beer pours a deep amber with a good sized head. The aroma is very fruity with notes of fresh peach, mango, guava, tangerine, watermelon, and crisp red apple. The flavor leads with a mild but piercing bitterness, and the a load of peach nectar, watermelon, guava, passionfruit, herbal tea, and mango. The mouthfeel is full and slightly oil with bold carbonation. Overall this is an incredibly tasty beer - amazing clarity of flavor, with superb balance.

Poured from a can with a "best by" date of 5/21/18 into a tulip glass. Dark gold in color with a white head that quickly fades to a sparse cap & ring.
Aromas of citrus, guava, bubblegum, & alcohol. Taste follows the smell with a slightly bitter, drying finish. Solid DIPA, the best beer of the Summit IPA Collection so far.
