16 oz can (“Pegasi Are Better 07/06/21”) poured j to a curved pint glass at the Park James Hotel. Cloudy golden yellow with a pillowy cover of white foam and streaky lace. Aromas of stone fruit, pear and orange rind. Flavor continues with a mix of tropical and stone fruit, orange citrus and hints of vanilla. Light body, creamy smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A pleasantly light NEIPA.

Really a nice, clean hazy pale hale! It smells fruity, but tastes like a fresh beer. Really excellent!

Looked great with a nice lace-full head and beautiful pale coloration. I was super excited to dig into another Barebottle wonderland, but they didn't play the lighter weight of this one as well as hoped. I second the watered down orange juice vibe as well as the SunnyD jab. Bare Bottle typically out-performs and here they under-did themselves.

Thanks, Chad!
Was grateful for pulling in this, along with 16 others, from Chad and Bill on a recent work trip to Reno, Nev. Had vaguely heard of Barebottle, but had never tried anything from them. This one was described as, “A shimmer-sized version of our popular Unicorn Dust beer. The mythical creature has again magically transformed water into something drinkable, and added mystical dusts from Citra, Mosaic and Meridian hops for their spirit-restoring properties.” Had tried Meridian before, but couldn’t remember anything about it.
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Excellent foamy layered lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Citra, Mosaic, stone fruit, peach blossom, pear and spoiled orange rind. As always better out of the can with more Citra, Mosaic and stone fruit from the can, as well as some earthy malt (can says 2 Row). (Smell - 3.75)
Taste was not quite as good as the nose. More Citra and stone fruit than anything else. Also subdued Mosaic, spoiled orange rind, watered down orange juice, pear, pineapple, guava and earthy malt. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, slightly spicy finish. (Feel - 3.50)
Not the biggest fan of this one except for the can. Good. (Overall - 3.50)

Appearance - Pours hazy and yellow-orange with a white, near finger width head. Sub-par retention results in a thin, broken layer of suds covering the surface. Fair lacing, mostly broken lines and spotting.
Smell - Tangerine/orange aroma with hints of peach, leaf and minerals.
Taste - Orange flavor, but more SunnyD than natural squeeze. mineral-like undertone. Some peach. Light spice bite, especially near the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Solid hazy pale. Good flavor and drinks easy. Am I the only one picking up mineral notes in Barebottle brews?
