L:. Pours a darker golden orange with a small white head and no lacing.
S;. Notes of peach, lemon, orange, toasted bread, pepper, coriander.
T:. Toasted bread, lemon, orange, pepper coriander and saison yeast.
F:. Carb seems a little flat, medium body.
O:. Not spectacular but a solid saison.

It is always fun to Add A Beer to BA. It is particularly more fun when the ale is my favorite, the saison. And it is a virtual thrill when the saison is quite good for a young brewer. And if you can't tell I will be specific, I'm an old man having a thrill.
I bought this 32 ounce crowler from Beer Drop. It was canned on 2/4 and is very fresh... which might be a discernible weakness since the style historically was brewed in winter and stored to refresh at harvest. Its flavors have not matured.
Soiree' is a pretty good Looker, decent foam and a nice orange to the pale. Its weakness for greatness shows early in that there is too little swirling protein which, to me, indicates mostly the yeast needs more culture. Smells confirm: saisons are bouquets of fruit and this Soiree' is mostly a simple apple. Tastes, however, are less one-dimensional and the hops quickly add considerable refreshment. But by late-palate, I recognize Soiree' lacks the fruit comeback to mix-it-up with the hops ... again a better culture might help. More than medium-mouthed, Soiree' did well to cleanse the palate while eating cheese and did double-duty helped along my three day old soup.
This is my first from Resolute, so I went on their website and they are very sophisticated for a six year old. The Head Brewer seems like he has all the credentials and good intentions. Resolute's motto is "Community, Craft, Culture" which, basically, are the principles of many of the 5,000+ micros that are about the same age or younger. But I believe, Resolute's execution is better than most... and I'm guessing it is the house saison yeast is kept well. I will have more from Belgians from Resolute... although I would prefer 12 or 16 ounces.
