Bought a crowler from Beer Drop (and would have bought more if the cans were smaller.) Shared this one with my nephew at dinner (after my wife worked him good planting fall flowers) and he agreed Gold was splendid at the table.
Only my second saison from Resolute, I am impressed with their house yeast. Gold was plenty fruity to quench the thirst before dinner and versatile enough to cut the grease of two different types of pizza and improve a caesar salad. Saisons were brewed for feeding farmhands and Resolute is channelling the tradition in its own way.
Obviously, I'm liking Resolute and I look forward to buying more of their saisons from Beer Drop (since I presume this obscure micro cannot deal with Illinois' ABC.) Resolute has figured out how to make a table ale and will only get better.
As for the name of this saison, is that a reference to the 2021 Olympics or the joy of life portrayed in "the Unsinkable Molly Brown." I think I'll think on that.
