Quite possibly the best Alberta brewed Saisson I've tried to date. All the expected notes are here and nicely balanced. Could swear I detected a hint of bacon in the aroma and taste which should be enough to get any Western Canadian to try this brew out.
We'll done H-H. I'll be back for more!!

Appearance - Pours a hazy golden amber with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - belgian yeast, clove, coriander, pepper, smoky roasted malts, and spicy earthy and floral hops.
Taste - belgian yeast upfront then quickly goes into the smoky malts, clove, coriander, and pepper. The spicy earthy and floral hops finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the smoked malts and spices lingering.
Overall - A well crafted saison from the folks at Half Hitch. The smoked malts add a nice flavour complexity to this brew. Great job on creating a brew that lives up to the motto on the can "This saison is sure to keep you warm during those minus (insert shocking number here) prairie days.
