Bought @ The City Beer Store in San Francisco.
As the first review, I agree with woodychandler classifying Netfinch as a Fruit Beer. But I should note that the brewer's can says "Saison Ale With Blueberry, Honey, Grape Must, Vanilla And Lactose."
I quote this lengthy slug for two reasons. First, to make the point that I'm seeing more and more saisons made with fruit flavoring and they are getting better and better; so this means they are here to stay... or at least are adding mightily to the style's American crafters' innovations of adding whatever is left after the harvest; only now it is more than grain overages and includes fruits. Second, the quotation makes unnecessary a long review of the ale.
Netfinch is a chill beer: refreshing at first snort and sip and finishes with a cleansed palate. Sweet as the ingredients are, this finishes slightly tart and even a bit dry. Masterful.
My first from Oozlefinch, I hope this is not my last. As a first to my limited memory, a woman as head brewer is noted on their can ... and since women were the original home brewers I am glad to taste their creations. Secondarily, Oozlefinch seemingly exercised bad judgment by selecting their site as far east as Americans can get in Virginia; and, then worse, situated out on an isolated peninsula. But they have lasted five years and may have beaten the odds... and are good enough to be carried by the premier beer store on the west coast. Thirdly, Oozlefinch specializes in fruited sours and I'm just starting to cotton to them... and it is summer. So maybe our next encounter will be soon.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
