A seasonal beer brewed with fresh rainbow carrots picked out of the garden behind the brewery. Smooth and earthy with a touch of dryness. Color is both from the malt and the carrots.

Bought two from Beer Drop, my source for Colorado brewers who can't tolerate (or afford) the ABC in Illinois.
This is my second from Bruz and I liked it and them, particularly for their Belgian-inspired angle. Of their 30 brews on BA, an amazing 28 are styles in the Belgian tradition. And while Colorado brewers seem to like that tradition (I've had two big shipments from Beer Drop), I have a theory: the high altitude makes the yeast less effective, or reduces its longevity. So because of my theory, the Coloradans are at a disadvantage when I compare them to the real deal in Belgium.

And while Bruz is only 4 years old (and the standard is four centuries), I think they are learning fast. And, it shows with Carrot. It is a pretty saison, nice full foam and a better orange than I get at most breakfasts. To Smell as good, it needs to have more fruit... but I recognize root vegetables are involved. Tastes are like root vegetables, with some imagination. So consider this a winter rendition of the saison when the farmers are hunkered down waiting for Spring (kind of like Covid.) Feel in fine; a medium mouth that gets cleansed by enough bubbles to take another bite of my vegetable stew. I also ate a sweet potato (with butter and sugar) instead of dessert. The sweetness of Carrot paired well.

OA: I'm glad Beer Drop sells in two... at least for Carrot. And, I look forward to more Bruz Beers.
