Hitting the warmer weather head on, the Mirror Twin brewers draw the fans of lighter beer into the taproom with a standard pilsner but with nonstandard lime and ginger additions for variety and intrigue.

Pale gold and faintly hazed with a yeasty glow, A Mule is a Half Ass Job builds a short lived stark white froth. Its scent of true, lightly kilned barley offers a mild bready scent that skirts underneath those bright and exotic perfumes of ginger and lime. But then its back to the malts for an early flavor impression of fresh bread dough, light honey and modest cereals.

As the pilsner malts simmer on the middle palate, the overcast of lime and ginger has the brain thinking Thai food. Crisp, light and refreshing, the mild hop bitterness links up with the lime acidity and ginger spice beautifully for an effortless late palate of tartness, zip and sass.

Medium light on the palate, the light carbonation allows for a calm mouthfeel until the crispness of fruit and spice additions apply a light heat and tang that easily makes up for any blandness in the base beer. Its sure to be a crowd pleaser for the warmer weather, or until quantities last.
