Amidst the strife of a pandemic, a sense of normalcy comes in the forms of tennis and craft beer. For the Top Seed Open, Mirror twin creates a beer that's designed for charity but built to beat the heat.
Brought together with pineapple and strawberry, @top_seed_open pours a light and pale blond color with a fine skirt of froth. Underneath it awakes a tantalizing scent of tropical fruit, berry and a natural stone fruit presence. A low-lying sweetness graces the tongue as hints of cereal, light bread and cookie dough decorate the early palate.
With the boldness of fruit rising above the character of Blonde Ale, a nearly peachy flavor emerges from the generous pineapple and strawberry additions in a light and refreshing fruit punch kind of way. Gentle mango, sangria flavors and hints of bellini dance about the middle palate a light dive into herbal, mint-like bitterness provides all the balance that's necessary late in taste.
Light in body, the beer's fruit forward demeanor keeps it from blandness as the beer is quite easy on the tongue, giving a great sense of refreshment and fruit succulence to entice the tastebuds throughout. A crisp finish leads to an afterglow of those bellini impressions once more.
