On draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, golden straw color with a creamy, eggshell-colored head and a attractive sheen of lacing. The fragrant nose features peach, tobacco, lemon peel, and funky Belgian spicing. The taste opens puckeringly tart and sour but as the glass warms it becomes more complex and nuanced. In addition to citrus there is peach, tobacco smoke, pepper, clove, wheat cracker, and pervasive oak. The peach really opens up as it warms. The flavors blend very well. It has all the attributes of an excellent Saison but the peach and spontaneous fermentation give it a unique taste. I was impressed by the mouth feel: plush and surprisingly creamy despite its carbonation. At 5.5% ABV it's very easy to drink. Overall, this is a very impressive Saison and one of my favorite offerings from Reverend.

This one pours a hazy orange color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.

This is bracingly sour and bitingly funky on the nose, with peach skin and white wine and acidic lemon juice all over the place.

Referend is such a interesting and unique brewery. This has an aggressive funk and acidity to it, but it works really well for me. There's a lot of peach here, skins and all, fermented down to the point of nearly no sweetness. There's a cheesy and lemony funk to it, almost like cheese rind, with tons of white wine.

This is light bodied, with an intense lingering acidity. It's definitely a bit of a slow sipper.

This is highly enjoyable- but I could imagine it not being for everybody.
