Notes from the 2019 bottling: A Ghost Is Born is an expression of the cherry's afterlife. After aging our spontaneously fermented golden ale in neutral and cognac barrels with a high concentration of NY Montmorency and Morello sour cherries, the liquid contents were bottled to become Krak! ('gnac), and the barrels were immediately refilled with our spontaneously fermented pale. wheat ale. After months of conditioning on these ghostly cherries in the wood, this beer was naturally refermented and conditioned in the bottle. (ABV: 4.8%)

The body exudes a rosé hued body, sparkling clear; sparse and coarse carbonation; thin, patchy white head. Very pleasant aroma; mild cherry tones and other esters; wine-like. Mild fruity flavor with a delicate sweetness; cherries and raspberries; light sourness and tangy taste; seems like a light wheat-like malt underneath the esters. Medium body; low residual sugar undercurrent; moderately intense tartness.
This is a very fine tasting, easy drinking spontaneously fermented ale. The 'aged on cherries' aspect adds a wonderful uniqueness to the overall appeal of the beer.

Poured into tulip.
Look is barely hazy bright red with a white head that instantly disappears. Nose is funky sour cherry with some wine grape notes way in the back. Taste follows the same with some aggressive sourness coming through in the middle and through the dry finish.
