Who in the heck listed this as a lambic?
Big pop on pulling the cork, but not a gusher. Even a hard pour resulted in little head that immediately dissipates—an early sign this is going to be acid forward.
Smells of burnt rubber, blue cheese, and cherries. Can’t say that’s overall appealing, but neither is it unappealing.
Hard to get past the sharp acidity on tasting, which isn’t counterbalanced with enough residual sugar. Its borderline harsh. There is a tiny bit of cherry sweetness hiding there, but it flashes by in an instant, and the acid kicks back in.
The acid level is just too high for me to enjoy this. Bummer, as i had high hopes.
