Spontaneously fermented golden ale aged for under one year before the addition of fresh, whole Balaton cherries. Refermented with the fruit in barrel and subsequently macerated for a minimum of 4 months. Steeped with Tahitian vanilla beans before serving.

Cellared 1.5 years. I think they were going for a magick lambick idea with the big vanilla, the problem for me is the very high acidity, it just cuts through the body and the sweet/sour mouthfeel they were trying to cultivate, despite decently thick edges. Pours beautiful with fire engine red body and a pinkish white head that settles in to a cap. Smell and taste are clones: acidic candied cherry with vanilla and oak waves crashing upon it, hay, barrel funk and residual sugars. Needs refinement, but the idea and the accenting elements are strong

This is a lot more sour and acidic compared to the regular Krak! The vanilla is relatively minor in the aroma and flavor. Just a hint of sweetness. Not very well carbonated but it is not still either.

Purple Kool-aid color with a finger of purple-tinted head. Settles into a thick, lasting crown.
Sour aroma with lots of wood, some clear vanilla and light cherry.
The taste is pretty similar. Big burst of vanilla with some comparatively moderate cherry on top of a sour, tart base with plenty of wood.
Surprisingly creamy feel for a sour. Soft carbonation keeps it from being still.
I have mixed feelings about this one. The flavor profile reminds me a little of the dentist.
