Aged a year. Apricot golden body with a pearl white thin collar. There is a clinic on spon funk in the nose, sweeping barnyard, cheesecloth and barrel funk all present, bright oak, hay, and sour wheat with a hint of red wine stand out as well. Taste has sour citrus and a hint of grape with the bright oak up front, dries out through the sip with funk and wheat, more streamlined and less complex than nose, but has more acidity with the vinous and must notes opening up as it warms. Feel is funky, musty, sour and slightly acidic, expressive bright body but wetter than expected despite drying out through the sip. Nice wild take on the berliner, much prefer to smoothie lactose bombs

Hazed orange-yellow-gold with an overly-massive, Duvel-like, near-white head. It dissipates fairly quickly, leaving behind thick, soapy lacing.
It has a dry and musty sour aroma with hay, wood and just the slightest touch of Pinot Noir.
The taste is less dry than expected — more fruity and tart throughout, although still in a relatively balanced way — with cranberry, red wine, sweet hay and almost a hint of nutmeg or cinnamon. Reminds me a bit of Christmas — with hints of a mulled wine or something.
Light-bodied, pillowy feel with light carbonation.
This is a delightful beer. Maybe a little on the sweet and fruity side, but still with enough balance to keep it drinkable. The mouthfeel is particularly superb.
