A noticeable deep amber to ruby colour with a dense off-white head.
Consistent front to finish hopping with some pine, citrus rind, nectarine & grass flavours. The hopping is balanced by a biscuit-like malt body with hints of toffee & caramel and a pleasant fruitiness from the yeast. A slight alcohol warmth and a light residual sweetness with a moderately dry finish.
49 IBU

On tap at Zyla's in Hamilton. Served fairly cold into a tulip.
Appearance - Dark ruby in color, hues of hazelnut. Topped with a half finger of neat tan head. Minimal lacing, but a good looking amber.
Smell - Malt bomb, with lots of caramel, toffee and such. Some roasty biscuity aromas as well. There's a subtle stone fruit going on too.
Taste - Explosion of malts, caramel, buttery biscuits, a slight sweetness from nectarines and plums and finishes with more bitterness than expected. Best anaology is a mash up of doppelbock maltiness, subtle fruit and bitterness from a English pale ale, amped up the booze quotient with a North American twist. Booze is well hidden too.
Mouthfeel - Fairly smooth and easy drinking, moderate-heavy body and carbonation is sufficient. A touch chewy but works well with the flavors profile.
Overall - A really great first impression from this new brewery, with loads of flavor. Highly recommended, and based on the other ratings I suspect there may be some tweaks made in the past year.

Bottle - pours a light reddish copper with a 3 finger frothy cap that slowly reduces to a thick surface lace that lasts out the drink. Mellow rounded well finished character - Flavour has thick caramel malting in the front well balanced with UK hop bittering, never sweet, builds some light complexity on the palate before it goes into a long clean finish where drying and bittering increase - a decent take on an English pale with robust character

Bottle at Zees Grill in NOTL. Clear, deep Amber with good head. Full toasted malt nose. Medium body. Crisp lager finish. Higher ABV and IBU not noticed.

Pours a nice caramel colour with a cream coloured foamy head on top. The aroma is of toasted malts with a tad of bitterness. The taste is malty with notes of caramel, and the alcohol comes through but not too much. Overall this is my favourite of their selection
