I had this on draught at the Brick Farm Tavern following a fine dinner. It was my dessert. 16 oz. pour served in a tulip glass. It pours nearly jet black with dark walnut hues when held to the light, and a very thin, ecru-colored head and minimal lacing. The nose features lots of chocolate notes with roasted malt and burnt coffee. As the glass warmed the coffee, cinnamon, and chile peppers became more evident. The taste is big, bold, and enjoyable: abundant chocolate, burnt coffee, lactose, cinnamon, and chile peppers that became more dominant as the glass warmed. It has a porter feel: not very viscous but still creamy. Low carbonation and a deceptive ABV of 9%. Overall, this is a well-crafted and thoroughly enjoyable milk porter. It marked a great end to a fine meal. My one recommendation is to let the glass warm Like most restaurants, they serve it too cold.
