I had this on draught at the Brick Farm Tavern. 16 oz. pour served in a pint glass. It pours a turbid, dirty apricot color with a thin, milk-white head and minimal lacing. However, it features quite a nose with abundant clove, coriander, lemon, and a whiff of sweet fruit. It's quite fragrant. The taste is complex and pleasing: it opens with a burst of the Belgian spice, followed by lemon and pleasantly sweet peach and apricot notes. It finishes with a dry, rye taste and a slight bitterness. Like a true Saison, it features lively carbonation and is tangy. At 5.9% ABV it's very easy to drink. Overall, it's a highly satisfying Saison, if a bit on the dry, bitter side. It really hit the spot on a warm day following a walk around the grounds and a visit to Troon Brewery, as we waited for dinner. And it paired very well with the BBQ pork shoulder. A fine offering
