Crowler canned on 4/5/22; consumed on 6/11/22
Pours a hazy lemon-gold body with light translucency and topped with multiple fingers of rich, fluffy, white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and myriad webby lacing spattered haphazardly across the walls of the glass.
Aroma brings flaky malts invigorated with soft lemon and zesty white grape, with melon rind enmeshed in waxy orange peel as a citric tinge of lime zest peaks into the back end of the bouquet.
Taste opens to wispy shreds of tangerine and overripe peach zest, with mossy resins dominant over the mid-palate into bright, fleshy white grape meeting musty pine on the back end as prickly tinges of catty dank fading on the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-full body and fluffy, higher-end carbonation; oily resins disperse into a prickly grit while a creamy mid-palate eases through minimal bitterness on the back end and a semi-juicy character gliding on the finish.
An immensely passive take on the TIPA, carrying the burly, resinous weight of its near-10% ABV with a calm touch and subtle earthiness; hop saturation builds quietly, though fails to burst forth in any significant way.
