Crowler canned on 10/4/22; consumed on 12/17/22
Pours a turbid, near-milky, deep gold body topped with a finger and a half of creamy fluffy, white foam; solid head retention leaves a thin layer of cap, larger, frothy collar, and cloudy waves of lacing misting over the entirety of walls of the glass.
Aromas of fresh orange pith and juicy grapefruit peel upfront find a grassy underscore and creamy mango development over time, with prickly guava washing over a tinge of cereal grain as a succulent dankness courses subtly and resinous silk flows across the bouquet.
Taste sees juicy grapefruit melding to ripe mango, with grassy edges phasing through a passionfruit twang past the mid-palate to silky resins and soft papaya on the back end.
Mouthfeel brings a body on the fuller end of medium and a rounded, fluffy, moderate carbonation drying subtly to the mid-palate before juicy resins glide to a moderate prickle on the back end and a semi-creamy, slightly bittering finish.
Potently bright notes of fresh pith and glossy earth carry an explosive, expertly maintained profile; a weighty texturing of yet another example of hop mastery from Troon.
