Crowler filled on 1/22/23; consumed on 3/18/23
Pours an opaque, pale sunflower-gold body topped with two and a half fingers of rich, fluffy, white foam; solid head retention leaves a half-finger of creamy cap, moderate, frothy collar, and a comprehensive caking of webby, soapy lacing painted across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of lush vanilla and orange zest produce overarching creamsicle tones washing over the bouquet, leaving subtly dank resins and musty peach to accent as grassiness eases through passionfruit on the back end.
Taste brings vanilla with underlying resins and grassy hop subtext upfront, easing into notes of orange peel through the mid-palate as supplementary grapefruit zest and guava edges mark the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel offers a medium body and a moderate fluff of carbonation; a soft, resinous prickle lingers to creamy, slick textures across the palate, with the mildest bittering sensations overridden by a glossy edge finishing.
Creamsicle overlay dominates an underscore of fruity zest and distant resins, presenting a direct yet potently expressive example of the milkshake IPA sub-style.
