I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the new Gunwhale location in Orange.

Appearance: pale yellow hue with a moderate haze and a finger of dense, creamy white foam atop. Quite attractive.

Smell: lightly funky and malty. It's got a nice promise of crispness; subtle and enticing.

Taste: lightly malty with a very nice saison funk. It's subtle, but more than enough for the table beer style. There's just enough bitterness for interest. This beer really works for me.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this beer is a good example of a style I really happen to like. +1 would recommend.

On tap at Gunwhale in Costa Mesa, CA.

Ok, so this one is considered a ‘Table Beer.’ Now, Raul has never heard of anything like that before, but like doing a line of Molly and listening to Britney Spears, Raul is into new things. Super clean, and slightly crisp like the box of triscuits you used to take down after a bowl of sour kush…

Raul recommended.
