Mmm… osa is our beloved Photon American Pale Ale conditioned on freshly zested oranges at a rate of 6 oranges per bbl. It is everything photon is, with a stronger orange presence; this citric delight is our preferred way to start the afternoon.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange peel, caramel and toffee. Sweet orange taste with toasted caramel and a mild piney bitterness.

L-Pours a three finger head with a milky straw hazy colored body. Orange juice like. There is some carbonation is there as well. Looks like a pure juice bomb.
S-Fresh orange juice, mango, papaya, and sweet honey. There's floral and fruity hops, with a funky bite at the end. Very fresh yet interesting tang to the aroma.
T-Follows the nose. Sweet, tangy and citrusy. Slight sweet
F-Light bodied, creamy and solidly carbonated.
O-An incredibly solid NE IPA. Sweet, citrusy and refreshing. I will certainly have this beer again.

Pours a very hazy orange color with thick white head and lots of lacing.
The smell is citrus and very orange forward.
The taste has lots of orange, especially on the finish with some grapefruit and lime in the middle.
The mouthfeel is very soft but medium carbonation with some hop burn on the finish.
Overall, very enjoyable beer.

Poured pale yellow/orange in color with a head that is thick and has stick around power. Nose is very much orange as is the taste. Has a white pepper finish...sort of.

Pours a very hazed gold with one finger of eggshell colored head. Nice head retention & lacing
S: Tons of orange, fades as this warms
T: Tart oranges, lime & a touch of grapefruit & a little dryness up front. Pomelo & lime as this warms up, a little bit of grassy hops. Mostly bitter & a little tart citrus finish, pretty juicy, a little sweetness wouldn't have hurt
MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, pretty good balance
Solid drinkable Pale Ale, but too pricey to buy again

While some believe that less is more, that mantra is deaf on the ears of Equilibrium brewing. When it comes to turning their Photon hazy Pale Ale into a mimosa inspired ale, its more that matters. ...much, much more.
Pouring a similar hazy hue as its predecessor, Mmm...Osa is decidedly more orange, but still frothy and ivory, giving the nose a scent that's rife with citrus, botanicals and a backdrop of tropical notes. Soft and malty early on, the beer kicks off with hints of honey, fructose and shortbread and with a hint of caramel.
The malt flavors take supporting role to the favor of hops that play out lively, ripe and radiant on the middle palate. All-things tangerine, mandarin and valencia, the flavors of orange are accompanied with pink grapefruit and nectarine that take the lead with a juicy citronella succulence. A backbone of ripe pineapple, guava and mango add complexity without overstatement. Trending herbal, the finishing taste is of light spruce, sun tea and a soft balsa-like woodsiness.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the malts quickly drift away and the hop resins create a drying sensation that highlights a mimosa-like spice that offers an evaporative cooling effect on the throat for a highly refreshing, drinkable and effortless session from beginning to end.

This is what I look for in a pale; pours out like hazy OJ with a white head; aromas of citrus and some bready malt...fruity orange and grapefruit...light and smooth in the body with some present bitterness and a moderate malt backbone for the size.
