Hoptimization 3 is a 8.2% DIPA that investigates the interplay between our ale strain and an intensive Mosaic, Citra and Galaxy forward hop bill woven four times into its creative process. It pours a very murky tangerine color. The taste is highly resinous, dank-citrus, pine, juicy, with a chewy mouth feel and a firm and pointed bitterness.

Once again, I traded for this beer but was unsure when as there wasn't a date on the bottom of the can. Sure, this was an American Imperial IPA at heart but it reminded of a New England IPA because of how murky it was and it's overwhelming hop aroma. Full and full-flavored, this had a lot going for it including a deceptively dangerous lack of perceived alcohol!
Nice pour to this as the muddled, bright goldenrod hue had plenty of head to top it off and even more lacing left behind as that was extensive enough to cover more than half of my pint glass. Loads of tropical fruit, candied sugar, and dank hops in the nose as the taste burst forth with all of those to a greater extent. Juicy, tropical, and slick, there were hints of tangerine tang, spelt, and nectar sweetness with a chewy body and an underlying, earthiness that took hold once this fully warmed up. Lychee and jack fruit took hold as some mild floral notes and a bready undertone emerged by the time I finished this off.
Yes, this was heavy on the palate and in heft but the mild carbonation and raw nature of this beer combined to result in a brew that was honest, authentic, and pulling all the punches that were possible. Not for the faint of heart, this wasn't strong as much as it was strong-flavored from start to finish. Loved this beer although it took a while for me to warm up to. Props to Equilibrium with this winner!

wow, as good or better than hop 2. you already know what it looks like, awesome super hazed looking brew with a dense bright white head. aromas and flavors of mango sorbet, orange creamsicle, melon, lychee, pineapple, creamy nectarines. grapefruit, dankity, some mellow herbal and bready and pine notes provide a bit of balance but this is straight fruit smoothie status. mouthfeel on point. honestly crushed this one so quick without taking as full of note on the profile as I would have liked. hard not to crush its absolutely insane!!
