dHop7 is a blend of FIVE different hops that showcases Vic Secret, a first for the series. This flavor profile exudes guava, papaya and lime with faint notes of pine. It pours an opaque yellow with a nose reminiscent of tropical fruits and citrus. The taste is dank and tropical with an assertive hop bitterness.

Beer pours a light golden orange color with a thick off-white head that dissipates somewhat but never completely. Some nice soapy lacing is left on the beer. Beer is completely opaque

Aroma has notes of mango, lemon, guava, peach, papaya and pine - very tropical and vibrant. Some of those cracker notes are there from the malt.

Taste is somewhat different from the nose - you get a lot of lemon-lime and straight up lime. Hints of orange, pine and mango also come through, but its very lime forward. Cracker malt backbone is noted. Slight greenness is also noted on the back end.

Feel is full bodied for the style and smooth. Mild carbonation. Kind of dry on the finish. Slight bitterness is noted in the finish as well.

Overall a very nice offering within the style.

Pours like pineapple juice. Hazy golden yellow, frothy white foam and even lace.

Smooth, creamy, tropical , slight bitterness. Awesome nose.

Very well balanced. Getting tropical and citrus peel, but there’s a great balance of dank hops and bitterness to go with it.

Very creamy, super smooth. Best body I’ve had on a hazy in awhile.

Smell: Right away I’m smelling this really sweet, but not overly forward tropical fruit bouquet. Mango, peach, papaya, and fresh kiwi. Underneath the tropical fruits there is a really subtle citrus zest note. It is a combination of lime and orange zest. Also there is a really light bready malt presence. The beer smells really soft, sweet, and fruity.

Taste: To start the beer has a lot of the same notes I picked up on the nose, but the lime and orange are really coming through and dominating on the palette. Which is really surprising because the tropical notes where more forward on the nose. Upfront I get a store bought lime juice note along with a Sunny D orange tanginess. The beer makes its way into the mid palette where you get the tropical fruits. Mango, papaya, and kiwi. There Is a light breadiness that is just there because and doesn’t add much to the beer. In the finish is where the lime and orange come back but not in a juice like way, but more in a zesty way. There is also a light piney bitter note that comes through right as the beer is on the most back part of the tongue. The zest really comes through in the aftertaste and makes the beer really dry.

Feel: Medium body with a light watered down creaminess. The beer has a sneaky softness and crushable drinkability. The beer also finishes extremely dry which takes away some of the juiciness that is excepted with the style.

Overall: This is a really nice beer. Really easy drinking, but not on that top tier level.

Has that same murky gold look with a couple fingers of thick foam that leaves thick lace on glass that all their dhops have.

Orange, peach, mango, hints of doughy sweet, light citrus pith, even floral hints shine as I make my way through the glass. Enticing aroma!

What a wonderful, full flavor. Not much to add to the list of flavors in the aroma, they are bright and shiny in the taste, perfectly balanced to the point of making a blend while being individually apparent. Sip ends with sweet slowly diminishing. Orange and citrus pith dominate a juicy end of sip to give it just the right bitter to balance.

EQ has this soft mouthfeel perfected. There are those who disparage small/craft breweries as unable to keep consistency, EQ nails this perfect carb., perfect viscosity, just juicy enough, just dry enough finish mouthfeel across their range of hoppy beers, and this one is no exception. Perfect frame to showcase beautiful flavors.

It is a pleasure to be able to enjoy and recommend such a great beer made by a great local brewery. Get some if you can, you will be happy for sure.
