Released alongside #4Science2. Science requires large amounts of unbiased data so we’re going to do this release a little differently. Rather than give you guys tasting notes from Pete and Ryan, which can influence peoples perceptions, we want to hear what you guys taste and which one you like better. Water treatment: Same; Grain Bill: Same; Fermentation Strain and profile: Same; Adjuncts: None

Hop Bill in #4Science3: This is a fairly popular hop that we’ve oddly never used before. #4Science3 is brewed exclusively with this hop
Hop Bill in #4Science2: is 50% the Hop Bill in #4Science3 and 50% Citra.

From the can, pours cloudy orange color with a thick 2 finger foamy white head that faded very slowly, leaving really nice foamy lacing and rings as it went down.

Smells of fresh cut flowers, rose pedals, orange peel, guava, starfruit, caramel, brown sugar, pear and cactus. It's an odd brew in that it resembles and IPA nose but seems like drinking a beer in a florist shop.

Taste is sweet to start with floral notes, orange juice, graham cracker, fresh cut flowers, rose pedals, orange peel, very mild grapefruit, guava, starfruit, caramel, cactus, biscuit, buttery crackers and faint peppery spices. Nice balance and a smooth feel, but I wish it had more hop bite and bitterness like the other Equilibrium IPA's that I've had.

Pours a hazy, medium amber coloration that turns bright orange when backlit, with a medium, fizzy head. Smell is quite bright and hoppy, with notes of mango, juicy orange and tart grape. Taste follows the nose, being quite hop-forward with very little malt presence detectable. Very interesting balance of sweet, juicy orange/grapefruit notes and slightly tart grape notes, with a bit of mango thrown in for good measure. Finishes with a medium bitterness and a very slight astringency and tartness in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. Now, this is a lot more interesting to me than the diluted #4Science2 version. I would bet money on the mystery hop being Nelson Sauvin here, from that certain grape note and slight astringecy/tartness in the aftertaste. I quite like Nelson Sauvin, so I actually liked this one slightly better than its counterpart.
