Hops are like a game of chess. We move our pieces by continually refining, experimenting, and looking for ways to improve our concentrations of hop deliciousness in the glass. While examining specific terpene concentrations that we thought would go well with our evolving hop process, we noticed Chinook had a specific desirable profile so we sought out to explore the mystery of Chinook. It pours a hazy tangerine color, releasing bright tropical notes of grapefruit, pine, earthy citrus, and candied mango. The flavor profile mimics the aroma with a soft mouthfeel and a dry finish that leaves the palate ready for the next sip.

Cloudy gold color. Good head with even better lace, leaving a several rings of lace.
The smell reminds me of butterscotch, surprisingly. Good citrus background.
Prickly and spritzy, the body holds up as does the malt base, but the hop and the carbonation are the story here. Good grapefruit flavor.

16oz. can into Night Shift stemware.
Beer looks like muddy water. Nose is mango, cane sugar and other tropical fruit flavors. Pungent, dank and very aromatic. Beer opens papaya, mango, starfruit and citrus. Huge tropical fruit notes and an almost completely malt taste profile. Near no hop bitterness. As far as NE IPAs go, this is pretty good. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Smooth with some bubbles on the palate and soft and silky down down with a dry finish and a long, lingering aftertaste. Rich enough yet super drinkable.
This is delicious if not much to look at. Excellent.
