Dhop8 is one of our most ambitious experiments to date. We created a parameter space to maximize organoleptic hop oils in the glass. As a result of this very interesting process, this Citra/Amarillo DIPA is naturally carbonated from refermentation of sugars during dry hopping. This is a first for Equilibrium (and is what we expected). Dhop8 is packed with hop oils and pours a very hazy tangerine releasing notes of intense citrus, zest, orange/pineapple, and sweetarts. This process produces a uniquely velvety and full mouthfeel with a flavor that follows the aroma. We will certainly be experimenting more with this technique and potentially make it standard with several of our hoppy offerings moving forward.

Not much of a review - basically, this is a NEIPA style beer with golden orange body, great head and lace for miles, the aroma and taste/mouthfeel can be summed up as acidic, touch of sour crispness on finish, some sweetness in there to keep it balanced and overall the beer is a smooth, easy drinker.

From a growler, pours a fully hazed, bright orange. Off-white head. Looks great.
The initial smell is fresh cut grapefruit, tangerine and mango, along with some dank notes. As it warmed, though, the smell was quickly dominated by a kind of diacetyl/vinegar thing. Unfortunately, taste follows. Weird. Unpleasant. Like no beer I've tasted, and not in a good way. Feel is a little thin for the ABV. Wouldn't buy again.
