Equilibrium makes some surprisingly good Saisons despite not being known for the style. I’m also a sucker for plum so this one sounds like it’ll be right up my alley. Let’s crack it open and find out what it has to offer
Pours a murky brownish orange with 2 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
There isn’t too much funk going on in the nose but the sharp fruitiness is welcome. I’m picking up on aromas of tart plum, guava, tart passion fruit, tannic red wine, wet hay, light stone, and honey
It’s sharper in taste which I appreciate, and the funky notes are more pronounced. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting plum skin, peach yogurt, wet hay, stone, lime zest, tannic white wine, white pepper, passion fruit, and light wheat. The swallow brings notes of plum skin, wet hay, blackberry, peach pit, lime zest, white pepper, bready malt, wildflower honey, and earthy wheat
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
This isn’t my favorite from Equilibrium but it’s still damn good

Austin Plum pours a hazy, purplish color with a small, long-lasting head. The aroma is tart, sweet, and a hint of plum. The flavor is bright and sweet, spice, tart, and a hint of a plum. Good feel. Overall, it is a sour farmhouse ale with nice subtle spice flavors and a hint of plum to mix in.

"Austin (6.0%ABV) is a farmhouse ale built by the inspiration to share beer with people close to heart. It is pale, tart, delicate, and complex with a bit of pleasant funk. Austin was then refermented on plums at a rate of more than 2 lbs of fruit per gallon for additional months. The result is a bright stone-fruit character boosted by the expression of our microorganism. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared."

Bomber bottle, from the brewery a few weeks ago.
Pour out fully hazed dull plum. Leaving super fine sheeting and great looking scattered lacing.
Ripe/earthy/super funky (Barnyard notes) pungent fruited up nose.
More of the same on the palate....this is brightly flavorful, earthy, funky, more then medium tart, loaded with ripe fruit notes...delicious....go get some (note to self, buy more bottles next time this one or others in the series come around)
