Morning Haze is an aggressively hopped galaxy/mosaic DIPA with wheat and oats (think our Answer collab CIBASS with a touch of bread). It pours a hazy tangerine orange and releases bright notes of pineapple and blueberry with an aroma that mirrors the balanced taste. This beer is very crushable and designed for late night celebrations, letting loose, and hitting the snooze on alarm clocks.

Pours a pale orange with a completely opaque translucency. Head is a few fingers of white foam. Aroma is pale grapefruit, tangerine, and zesty lemons with a little herbal and dank behind. Tropical fruit is forward and pretty full, but falls off without delivering a fully potent hit. Flavor profile is grapefruit, lemon zest, grass, and dank with a swell of pineapple & banana at the finish. Tropical fruits are forward and abundant, delivering pretty solid juicy notes. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is lightly creamy. Overall, pretty good haze and juiciness to this one, but not as ripe as a fresh sunrise might imply (morning haze.)

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.

Tastes juicy and very hoppy with grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, caramel, toasted malt, biscuit, dry chalky yeast, honey, coriander, tea leaf, honeydew melon, peppery spices, floral hops and biscuits. A nice well balanced brew.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, mango and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Thick hazy pour from the 16oz can, sits perfectly opaque gold with a frothy off-white head. The nose and palate is creamy and sweet, floral with juicy hop notes and also that aggressive dry-hop mouthfeel and grassiness.

Super citrus taste. Great head on top of a fairly thick, frothy IPA. Solid IPA.

16 oz can acclimated to 53°F and poured into a tulip glass.

Pours a color between lemon yellow and eggnog (somewhat light and slightly pale in saturation, dull but not dead yellow) with some white sediment. Produces a very long lasting 3 finger, sudsy, barely off white head that falls to 0.5 fingers, leaving lacing in 3 rings. Looks a lot like a lemon meringue pie, with the creamy yellow and white foam, I love the appearance!

Initial aroma is somewhat burnt, the best way I can describe it is like how rug burn/rope bun feels. Some grapefruit juiceis easily noticeable, with some pine or resin behind it, a little lemon too. I find hops as well but the other smells are strong and it's hard for me to describe the hops. After agitating I get that right burn smell on full blast, along with a little red rubber gym ball, which is similar to the rug burn. I also notice a medical alcohol.

Initial taste before swallowing is one second of intense bitterness that quickly calms, followed by grapefruit pith with a moderate bitterness that intensifies when it contacts the back of the mouth. After swallowing I immediately get a flash of grapefruit, followed very quickly by a very dry high bitterness in the back of the mouth, in the afterness I'm met with a little bit of a plastic taste and a tiny bit of that rug burn and rubber. The rug burn is something I've noticed before in double/triple IPAs, so I won't count it against this one harshly, although the plastic taste is not good, im not sure if its because of the same reasons, however. It's fairly sweet, and a pleasant deal malty, though I can't discern any qualities of the maltiness due to that magnitude of other tastes. The bitterness is high, it hits the back of the mouth, feeling dry, and stings/tingles the tip of the tongue. It does start to burn when you've ventured in 2/3, and each sip makes it evident, I imagine it's a combination of hops and alcohol. I know I'm making it sound bad but it's more that it's intense, not bad.

Mouthfeel is very nice, a combination of juicy and fluffy that courses, it moves smoothly yet assertively.

Overall I didn't love it. I will say, not terrible by any means, but intense. The problem not being the intensity, but a few flavors that displeased my taste. What I did enjoy greatly was the mouthfeel. I also thought the grapefruit that was present was very enjoyable, being more subdued than many other IPAs I've tried. I found the bitterness to be nice, and exactly what I expect from the style, it's just that rug burn taste I've noticed, and that plastic I got this time. I think the flavors were very well balanced, however.

Won't be buying again, sorry equilibrium, this one just isn't for me, personally.

L: Pours a very hazy yellow lemon juice color with a small white head and thick lacing around the glass.

S: Starts with notes of pineapple, some floral hops, a light note of berry. Definitely juicy but doesn't smell overly sweet. I expected the aroma to be a little stronger.

T: Lots of sweet sugary hops, notes of pineapple and a bit of berry, the sweetness and juiciness kinda all blends together in a sugary sweetness.

F: Creamy Smooth body, larger mouthfeel

O: The taste of this is a little muddled but it's decent.

Morning Haze

Equilibrium Brewery IPA-Imperial/Double

A rather sharp, earthy-grapefruit pucker from the hops hit first. Light and fluffy body keeps it grounded. The oats and wheat are normally two of my favorite additions in the grain bill. Orange rind with a earthy, dry kick once again. Sharp tang finish
