With little fluctuation in the dHop series, the sum of all these hoppy pieces and parts is a net sum of zero.
dHop0, as cryptic as it may sound actually pours a murky and pastel taupe and straw. With a creamy and ivory froth building on the rim, the nose is rife with stone fruit, citrus, tropical fruit and peppery herbs. A creamy sweet upstart is rife with cereal, light honey and a mild pastry crust maltiness.
Then the hops dominate the middle palate with the ripe and juicy character of nectarine, apricot and plum. As hints of white grapefruit, lime, passionfruit, papaya and pawpaw reinforce the bellini-like character, hints of coconut and cream soothe the tastebuds and ensure a smooth green tea bitterness equipped with peppery hemp, gin and juice.
Medium full in body, the beer's plump textures extend well into finish and closing with an extension of mulled grasses and other dank botanicals.

16oz can, tulip glass. Pulpy orange straw yellow body, one finger white head, good retention, bit of lacing. Smell is freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit, a bit of resin, tropical fruit, mild caramel and sugary malt. Flavour is tropical fruit, papaya, resin, a bit of grapefruit zest, relatively light caramel, the malt backbone lets the hops do all the talking here. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, soft and creamy, mildly bitter resin on the backend, otherwise it's all hop juice. Pretty damn good NE DIPA. My first beer from Equilibrium and I get it now.
