Copenhagen 1/11 2020. 47,3 cl can from Best of Beers Web-shop. Some very colorful splotches of shimmering colors and the name of the brewery written in Metallica style on the can.
Pours hazy, opaque, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fermented odor mingling with sharp citric notes. Pineapple and papaya. Fermentation and decay. Citrus and mustard.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Finish is fairly dry with a light boozy twist.
Satisfying DIPA with a subtle ABV.

Been fun trying all of the various new EQ IPAs that make their way into my distro area. This one is just over two weeks old according to the can, but the only other thing I know about it other than its ABV is that it does indeed contain lactose. Guess we'll see how it stacks up to the other recent beers I've had from these guys.
Little bit more vibrant and bright compared to Solar Fluctuation, the last big IPA I had from them. Still opaque, but the head is very well-formed just like that beer was. Lacing is decent but not as intense or glass-coating as some of their others, though the legs are just fine. It's pretty much on par, overall, with the look of most of their IPAs, which is good considering they seem to have mostly gotten it down to a science at this point.
Reminds me of Solar Fluctuation here in that there are some strong darker stone fruit notes, though I also get tangerine peel and a bit more grassiness upon further inspection. Bright papaya and gooseberry here as well, with a little bit of tartness or acidity that is giving me some Nelson vibes, though I'm not sure if that varietal is used. Soft herbal qualities mingling with some pineapple as it acclimates to room temp. Definitely smells pretty dang good.
Soft and fluffy on the palate with almost no trace of the 8.5% ABV. Creaminess provided by the lactose works well with the flavors of plum, apricot, tangerine, and white wine grape. Some light grapefruit bitterness and hints of crushed aspirin plus dank pine toward the finish, though the bitter element gets muted a little by the oats/wheat/lactose in the recipe, leading to it becoming a little bit TOO approachable and less characterful than it could be. That said, I am picking up some passion fruit and ripe mango in here, but the whole thing just kinda seems "generic" for EQ at this point. I have really enjoyed when they've stepped a bit outside the box with their IPAs, and Kiwi was the last one I had that really blew my mind. Not that I really think they're overrated, as they do make great DIPAs in the hazy/juicy realm, but I'm not sure how many variations you can really do of this idea before it becomes too difficult to delineate the beers from one another. Finback, by contrast, for example, doesn't have this problem because they actually vary things and seem to do better highlighting certain hops and even fruit additions. I enjoy this while I'm drinking it, but it lacks memorability. If that's not a big deal for you, I'm sure you'll have a good time sipping on it. I am giving it a positive rDev just on the principle that it is really good and objectively well-done for a beer in this style, but unfortunately it really feels like a "been there, done that" case in more than one way.

Pours a hazy light orange with thick, fluffy head.
Smell is intense, juicy and quite herbal. Notes of grapefruit, orange juice and a hint of grapes.
Taste is juicy and grassy with solid bitterness. Quite a bit of herbal notes along with grapefruit, grapes, white wine and gooseberries, with a bit of grainy sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, a very nice, slighty unusual DIPA.

16 oz can sent from corm44. Poured into Yak Valley Hops Glass. 10/23/18.
Nice hazy orange apricot color. Head is a creamy 1/2 finger.
Aroma of apricots, orange juice, vanilla, and lavender. Slight stank.
Flavor is massively, massively herbal. Dead grass, apricot, lots of earthy notes. There's a good dose of juiciness underneath that keeps it from being like one of those Stone IIPA things. Lots of dry earthy grassy bitterness on the finish.
Feel is acidic and juicy, with light creaminess. Nice acidity on the finish with lingering resins.
Overall, definitely check this out if you like herbal and dry grass flavored IPAs. This one brings it hardcore.

Still searching for an Equilibrium beer that impresses me. It's fine. not juicy, no nose. Lacing is nice, thin body, too bubbly.

Pours hazy orange. Well balanced Frel and solid offering. Some taste of hops but not too bitter. Very well rounded beer. Very drinkable at ABV level.

From a growler, pours a very hazy deep orange. Big white head leaves good lacing. Smell is bursting with dank and tropical fruits. Taste follows, with a bit of an earthy finish. Feel is very soft and smooth without being overly rich. Almost no bitterness; I honestly wish this trend would stop. Without any bitterness, there is very little finish and the beer just sort of abruptly ends. In spite of that, an excellent beer.
