Vader... Drink... You’ve been defeated by a Space Ball. Learn the power of Madagascar Vanilla and Milk Sugar from Yogurt to use the Schwartz and combat Dark forces on the Moon of Vega. This beer is ‘Ludicrous Speeds’ (released 07/18) Father. It uses the same hop bill of Citra, Galaxy, and Mosaic but at a whopping 8 lb/bbl. Moon of Vega is thick fruit punch creamsicle saturated with tropical fruit and citrus with EQ juice leading the way into dunkaroo frosting parfait finish. We think you’ll enjoy this one. May the Schwartz be with you!! ... There is an even larger space ball in progress...

Pours an opaque golden color with a large head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet vanilla & tropical fruit. Taste is more orange with very little hop bite. Very good for what it is, not much on flavored IPAs. BOD 12-1-2024

Poured a thin but respectable head into my Skydance Brewing Spiegelau-shaped IPA glass. The nose is dank and grassy but unremarkable.
I get a bright, dank subdued vanilla to taste. I’m glad the lactose is an undercurrent, though it’s in the swallow. The 8.7 ABV says hello with each sip.
There’s a creaminess to the mouthfeel that, with the above, commends this DIPA.

(2025 release) Canned 12/3/25. Solid 2x milkshake/NE ipa w/good balance/mouthfeel; thickish haze; medium hoppiness; an understated orangey/vanilla/citrusy/fruity/juicy flavor & not enuf lactose sweetness to stun a diabetic at four paces. Very smooth fooler of an 8.7%er.

Poured a somewhat cloudy yellow-gold body with good head and lace down glass. Nice, funky aroma, kind of reminded me of papaya for some reason. Smooth, almost creamy, has a slightly sticky medium body at times, a plush tropical fruit taste (reminded me of peach or mango and cream fruit cup as well as pink grapefruit) with some citric hops, but not bitter, and then has a clean and filling finish.

Canned on: 12-5-24

A - Opaque light golden tan hue with some small floaties and a dense, frothy layer of creamy foam resting on top.

S - Tropical fruit and citrus with a little bit of a cream background mixed into the nose.

T - Tropical fruit and citrus dominate from start to finish. Papaya, pineapple, mango, stone fruit, and a little bit of spiciness with some piney bitterness.

M - Medium body with a slight bit of creamy texture amongst a pillowy soft body.

O - Very solid but not a standout (and that's totally OK because I'm enjoying this). :o)

I got a 16oz can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy orangish with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had very mild orange whip notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet malt base with tropical fruit creme presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
