03252020 stamped on the label. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy lemonade yellow with 1-2 finger frothy off-white head with good retention and lacing.
S: Outperforms the flavor with pineapple, tangerine, orange, grapefruit, and stone fruits including peach and mango with light herbal under the surface. Medium-high intensity.
T: Flavor is very good with pineapple, red grapefruit, tangerine citrus melding nicely with mango, peach, and some berry notes. Same light herbal note lingering. Light bitterness. Esters certainly more expressive with warming with more Juicy Fruit and fruit salad character.
M: Soft and lush with low carbonation (but enough) and sumptuous medium-high body.
O: Substantial NEIPA with more heft and more aroma and flavor than many but not quite at the top of the class due to less definition of flavor — I would rather this style hit 3-4 notes rather than 8-10 but that’s my bias. Still very enjoyable DIPA that I hope a lot of people get a chance to try.
