Collaboration with Moksa Brewing
We started with a heavy dose wheat and oats before heavily hopping this beer with Citra and Rakau. MoksaMarga pours a vibrant yellow with aroma and notes of tropical fruit, candied pineapple, mango, and tangerine. It continues to morph into a juicy buildup with our #EQjuice profile and soft smooth finish that will slip you into a meditative state.

Pours a very hazed gold with a thumb+ of fluffy eggshell colored head. Better than average head retention & a little better lacing
S: Pears, light breadyness
T: Follows the nose, some pomelo & white grapes as well, a little dryness up front. Pomelo , white grapes, creaminess from the oats & grassyness as this beer warms up. Tangy orange in the finish, some lime, white grape & a little grassy dryness, a little dried mango & pineapple as well
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, pretty good balance
A solid take on the style, good flavor, but glad I just bought a single

I’ve had a few NEIPAs from Equilibrium and they’ve all been damn solid. Though I don’t know how you can call it MoksaMarga without adding limes to it. Jokes aside, I’m sure this one will be another home run. Let’s get into it
Pours a hazy pale gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
It’s quite vibrant in the nose, straightforward but effective. I’m picking up on aromas of tangerine, lime juice, grassy hops, bready malt, gooseberry, white pepper, and mango skin
There’s more of a chalky bitterness to it in taste that drags it down a bit but it’s still solid. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tangerine, lemon zest, pithy grapefruit, grassy hops, bready malt, mango skin, and papaya. The swallow brings notes of pithy grapefruit, orange zest, crackery malt, grassy hops, papaya, white pepper, and light lime zest
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a tad sticky but the bitterness dries it out eventually
This isn’t anything too amazing but still a damn solid take on the style

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, one finger foamy white head slowly dissipates. Malty aroma, biscuity with a sharp citrusy zest. Taste is bready, grapefruit with some latent floral notes. Mild bitterness and a light sticky finish.

Another pick up from the Eq order this Spring. Was prolly my fave of the entire order.
Pours a hazy ass yellowy beige color while grilling in the front yard. Makes a relatively large 4/5" head although the bubbles aren't very consistent. Definite hazy oats and wheat flaking up in here, up in here. The nose seems to be mostly sweet citrus, tangerine, orange, obvious Citra, but also the Rakau offers something down underish. Get some of those juicy tropical notes upside ya head.
Taste is quite nice and easy to drink. Very nice, very evil indeed. Waves of the usual sweet tropical and citrus juices alongside the usual beer barley notes. Alcohol is consumed quickly with this hazy body making the bitterness subdued and the alcohol bite nonexistent. Barely a weed hint. Lighter carbonation feel to it comes off as entirely appropriate in execution.
I dug this beer for its unique hop pairing, legit juiciness and easily acquired buzz. Best thing I've had from Eq yet, even if everything I've had from them was good at its worst.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Belmont, MA
Batch 2
MAR 26 21
Served in a tulip
The beer poured a medium bodied, pale canary yellow color and was topped by a finger-tall, bubbly, bright white crown that quickly dropped to a thick, frothy, lasting collar. A wall of streaky lacing clung to the sides of the glass.
The aroma was really dank and musty yet also quite bright. Cannabis notes came through strong initially, but they mellowed as the beer warmed. Lemon was also apparent. Good dose of passionfruit too. Juicy orange notes were detectable as well. Later, the cannabis presence came back with a vengeance.
The flavor profile was similar to your nose but possibly more intense. Cannabis notes came through big time. Lots of passionfruit as well. Bright lemony notes appeared in the center. Candied lemon perhaps. Some tangerine was noticeable as the beer moved along the palate. More lemon and pithy lemon peel on the back end and the finish. Moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
Terrific mouthfeel. Medium-full bodied for the style. Really creamy, slick and smooth on the palate. A finer bubbled, slightly greater-than-average effervescence gave the liquid a fantastic suppleness.
MoksaMarga is another terrific Equilibrium collaboration DIPA that is big on flavor but understated in both body and alcohol content. These days, this is definitely my preferred approach to hoppy beers.

Just not a huge Equilibrium fan. Every one of their IPAs has a very distinctive grassy flavor.

A: this beer is so beautiful... poured a very vibrant straw yellow with a dense, juicy haze. The head was about a finger's width and died down to a beautiful thick collar around the edge of the glass, accompanied by some nice lacing as well.
S: super fruity in the nose, main aromas I perceive are dried apricots, candied pineapples, and a lingering sense of citrus throughout. A bit of yeastiness too.
T: taste follows the nose, but steers more in the direction of stone fruits and citrus rather than tropical notes. Classic "juicy" flavor reigns throughout. Dominant hops are Rakau and Citra (interesting pair) so this would make sense.
M: very soft feel, almost creamy. Low carbonation, which may contribute to the soft mouthfeel.
O: overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. I was expecting something a bit more old-school, but this juicy DIPA is as modern as it gets. This beer was obviously brewed with love and care, and as a beer enthusiast I love that I get to experience it!
